Sept 10 Wow... what a busy summer! Why does it seem to go by so fast? Had a bunch of fun doing shows with Jaggerco BMX stunt team. The shows were held at Sherkston shores resort in Ontario and after pulling an all-nighter just to get there we were able to ride well and blast some big air off the box jump. The coolest was the hopped up golf carts people were riding around in. Next up was the Vegetarian Food fair at Harbour Front in Toronto. We were first given an asphalt and concrete spot to ride but security didn't like what they were seeing so the spot became a big dirty grass area which blew. We're performers and quickly made the best of things by throwing down some combo's and kickin' up some dirt. People enjoyed the dirt sliders and Garth's hitch hikers over the grass. Now grab your bike, pedal hard, and pull a huge skid! June 24- ASC and the city of Mississauga hosted a flatland jam and battle last weekend bringing out a large group of riders from southern Ontario. Contest was a single class event with qualifying into a final 8 rider battle. I really didn't want to enter the comp on my mtb however encouragment from the bmx riders landed me in the finals and a 5th overall at the end of the day. never doubt yourself!! Huge thanks to Neela, Chris, Dan and the ASC crew. Check out the video of the event here. Cruiser Flatland is still up to his old ways...travelling the world and building cool mtbflatland bikes. Our new website will soon be completed thanks to Garth, who also rips it on a flatland bike. Doof and Toby, some buds from London (RNP) came to Toronto for a visit and when their heads weren't spinning from all the girls in the beaches, they had a blast riding the urban landscape. Now go hug your bike! Something exciting was learned this weekend, there is another mtbflatland rider out there. Check out jamesmcgrawbmx James McGraw is a pro bmx rider of many years recently adding mtbflatland to his wicked arsenal of tricks. He will be posting video of his insanity that should be filled with banger combos, pedalling death trucks, bmx moves done on a mtb. What a great guy to show people another way to have fun on your mtb.... . |
